Are you struggling to maintain online visibility?

Are you finding it difficult to reserve your time for online visibility?

Here’s an answer to your worries.

As a writer, it is very important to complete your scheduled assignments. In my case is; Writing for a Newspaper Column. Yet, it is also important to be visible online – by online, I mean that you should be visible on LinkedIn, WhatsApp Messenger, email and other social media. While juggling with writing assignments, you can revive past contacts through these social networks.

How? If I were you, I would read on to know how!

Regularly update your Display photo and resume.
Publicize your freelance writing services during any ‘dry phase’: you should survey your contact list for individual entrepreneurs, business start-ups, SMEs or professionals who would need a Freelance Writer. Then, send a personalized yet business-like message to these individuals.

For example, you should include certain significant details in the personalized message. They are as follows:
a)   Types of writing that you offer i.e. blogs (ghost blogging), company profiles, articles, web content (websites, social networking sites etc.), book reviews, newsletters, copywriting.
b)   Provide links to your work samples like personal blog posts (in case you do not have clippings published earlier), freelance blogging content (published on social networking sites) or guest blogs.
c)   Your name, designation (like Freelance Blogger, Copywriter, Freelance Writer) and cell phone number/s.
d)   You should also regularly observe who has viewed your profile and send personalized pitches (messages) to them as shown below.

Finally, you can register for a free trial on LinkedIn to send an InMail*. Sending individual messages to your connections is also beneficial.

*InMail messages are sent directly to another LinkedIn member you are not connected to. If you have a Basic (free) account, you must upgrade to a Premium account (paid for) to use InMail, but you can find many offers online to get a free trial.
WhatsApp Messenger –
WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform mobile messaging app which allows you to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS. Because WhatsApp Messenger uses the same internet data plan that you use for email and web browsing, there is no cost to message and stay in touch with your friends. –
You should send links of published articles/blogs to your contacts, groups and other acquaintances. These should be contacts who you know would be interested to read your articles. So, it is better if you send WhatsApp messages to a target market rather than sending it to everyone! I believe it is important for you to reach a targeted audience who will respect and appreciate your expertise. I regularly utilize WhatsApp messenger to promote my links to published articles and latest writing competitions.
Along with it, you can send a friendly message saying, ‘Hi! How are you? What’s going on these days?’ It would definitely work best to increase your online visibility. You will know the activities of your friends, colleagues and acquaintances; then, you too can share your work, new projects with them. Thus, your contacts and you, both can help each other to enhance business on a friendly note.
E-mail your dormant contacts –

Regularly send emails to those whom you once approached for work. It is a good gesture to contact such ‘dormant contacts’ to enhance your online visibility. They might be your future clients due to the rapport struck with them via regular email updates about your expanding work.
