Dearest readers today we start reviewing the third among seven spiritual laws of success; The law of cause and effect. It is action and the consequence of that action because every action generates a force of energy that returns to us in a like kind. What we sow is what we reap. If you want happiness in life learn to sow the seeds of happiness. It is a conscious choice making. We are essentially infinite choice makers whether consciously or unconsciously. In order to understand and maximize the use of the law of cause and effect we need to be conscious choice makers. The way we are today in life is the result of the choices we made in the past. Unfortunately we make unconscious choices and we don’t think they are choices and yet they are. You could be insulted and make a choice of being offended. You could be payed a compliment and make a choice of being flattered or pleased but think again, are they still choices? You could be insulted or offended and make a choice of not being offended. You could be payed a compliment and still make a choice of not being pleased. Even though we are infinite choice makers we sometimes become bundles of conditioned reflexes that are constantly triggered by people or circumstances into predictable outcomes of behaviour. These conditioned reflexes make turns us into Pavlovian beings. Pavlov is famous for demonstrating the conditioned salivation of dogs. He gave dogs food every time he rings the bell and therefore the dogs started to salivate when he is about to ring the bell and this is what happens the moment we associate one stimulus and the other.
Know thyself Ye are gods !
